Our Why

At lifetime we believe that future generations shouldn’t be committed to a future where oceans have more plastic than fish.

Our What

We make long lasting premium eco-friendly products. Making disposables (aka trash in transition) a thing of the past.

Elevator Pitch

“The S’well bottle of toothbrushes”

Much like S’well revolutionized the water bottle industry, lifetime is in the process of doing the same with the toothbrush.

All while standing on the shoulders of Harry’s and Dollar Shave Club’s business model.

The Problem

Billions of plastic toothbrushes are produced every year. Every single one since the 1930’s still exits.

So What

Approximately 5 billion are produced every year and they end up in landfills and nature.

For Instance

1 billion are discarded a year in the US alone. Lined up one after another, they could go around the world 4 1/2 times.

Solution

A stylish sustainable toothbrush. The handle will last you a lifetime and the replaceable heads are plant based compostable/biodegradable or plant based co-recyclable.

Our Story

This started years ago at a family trip to the Vancouver Aquarium. Douglas Coupland had an exhibit called Vortex made with all the plastic junk he found on the remote beaches of Haida Gwaii. The huge amount of plastic toothbrushes really stood out for me. That and the fact that I wear them out quickly with my less then perfect smile. It never felt right just tossing them out. At lunch that day I was noticing that we would never eat every meal with plastic cutlery, so why do we brush with plastic twice a day.

Our Team

The first team I need to mention is my wife and kids, they have been so supportive and helpful on this journey.

I would also like to thank every person that helped with their time, enthusiasm and most of all their belief in me and this project. The solopreneur is a bit of a myth as far as I am concerned, it requires the help and support of everyone that you have connected with throughout your life. I can’t begin to name you all but I am always grateful for all of you! Huge thanks to Abbie Finestone Photography for her fine work and quick turnaround, I highly recommend her.

I can’t say enough good things about Form3 an industrial design firm in Vancouver that helped me along the way. Thanks to Robbie who squeezed me into his busy schedule while working for well established brands and companies. Ricardo went the extra mile to make thinks work and look great at the same time.

I look forward to new and exciting adventures with future team members.
